Ultraman Card Game will Enjoy an Industry-First Release in Four Languages & 15 Regions Simultaneously on October 25th

In celebration of Ultraman Day, Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Masayuki Nagatake) is pleased to announce that the ULTRAMAN CARD GAME (ウルトラマン カードゲーム, Urutoraman Kādo Gēmu) will be released on Friday, October 25, 2024 in 15 countries and regions around the world in 4 languages, a first in the history of trading card games.
The ULTRAMAN CARD GAME is a new trading card game inspired by the world of Ultraman featuring playability appealing to both adults and kids, as well as collectability with specially designed cards by renowned creators from around the globe. The game will also offer several rare cards to collect from artists and designers who have worked on the Ultraman shows and movies.
Various activities are planned leading up to the release of the game to attract Ultraman series fans and trading card game fans around the world. This month, advance trial tournaments will be held in Japan, with participants receiving test card decks. Additional international matches will be held in the coming months, with the final tournament to be held in Tokyo in the spring of 2026 for players who have won the regional qualifiers.

■ ULTRAMAN CARD GAME to Be Simultaneously Released in 15 Countries and Regions
With cards printed in Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, this marks the first time a trading card game will launch on a global scale in four languages simultaneously. Trading card games sold by other companies in the past have generally been initially released in only a few languages, and only in the areas covered by that language.

■ 1st Starter Decks and Booster Packs
The initial release will offer two starter decks – Heroes of Hyper Space and The Bonds of Zero – each featuring 50 cards, a playsheet, and one booster pack to provide players with everything they need to start playing the game. Beginning in early November, players can also separately purchase Guardians of the Earth booster packs with randomized cards per pack in either single packs or 24-pack boxes, allowing players to build their own original decks, collect their favorite characters, and enjoy the game in their own way. Each Guardians of the Earth booster box includes a “triple-rare” (RRR) Ancient Monster Gomora card.

■ Rare Cards by Creators from Around the World
The ULTRAMAN CARD GAME will feature specially designed cards by renowned creators from around the world. The game will also offer several rare cards to collect from people who have worked on the films and shows, including Hiroshi Maruyama (Designer/Illustrator on ULTRAMAN TIGA, ULTRAMAN DYNA, ULTRAMAN COSMOS, and more) and Masayuki Goto (Production Designer for Ultramen and monsters since Ultraman Zero).
■ Global Tournaments to be Held, and in Japan, a Trial Tournament and Test Deck will be Given Away Starting in July!
Global ULTRAMAN CARD GAME tournaments are planned for 2025 for players to begin competing in earnest. Staffers will provide detailed lectures on game play, aiming to allow beginners to easily enjoy the game. Players who win qualifying events will have the opportunity to participate in a World Championship planned for Spring 2026 in Tokyo, Japan.
In Japan, attendees of the large-scale summer events "Ultra Heroes EXPO 2024 Summer Festival in Ikebukuro Sunshine City" (ウルトラヒーローズEXPO 2024 サマーフェスティバル IN 池袋サンシャインシティ, Urutora Hīrōzu EXPO 2024 amā Fesutibaru IN ikebukuro Sanshain Shiti) and "Ultra Heroes EXPO 2024 Umeda Summer Festival" (ウルトラヒーローズEXPO2024 うめだサマーフェスティバル, Urutora Hīrōzu EXPO 2024 Umeda Samā Fesutibaru) will be held as large-scale summer events will receive a "Test Deck" of cards as a special gift, allowing them to enjoy the ULTRAMAN CARD GAME at home.
