SRS Cinema is excited to announce the acquisition of Yoshikazu Ishii’s YUZO THE BIGGEST BATTLE IN TOKYO (『特撮喜劇 大木勇造 人生最大の決戦』, Tokusatsu Kigeki Ōki Yūzō Jinsei Saidai no Kessen, 2022). Ishii was an apprentice of the late Toho FX director Koichi Kawakita, and served as a special effects assistant director on GODZILLA: FINAL WARS, NEGOTIATOR: MASHITA MASAYOSHI, DAIMAJIN KANON, and ULTRAMAN MEBIUS. He has directed episodes of ULTRAMAN GINGA and ULTRAMAN GINGA S. SRS builds upon a successful relationship with Ishii following their release of his prior production, ATTACK OF THE GIANT TEACHER (アタック・オブ・ザ・ジャイアントティーチャー, Atakku Obu Za Jaianto Tīchā) back in 2019, and believes YUZO will be an even greater success.
YUZO THE BIGGEST BATTLE IN TOKYO stars genre veteran Masanori Machida (GAPPA: THE TRIPHIBIAN MONSTER, THE GREEN SLIME, ZATOICHI, ULTRASEVEN, MASKED RIDER SKYRIDER, ULTRAMAN TIGA), making his long-awaited return to kaiju cinema.
Story
Yuzo Ooki is unexpectedly fired. Managing to find a new job, Yuzo navigates the maze of crazy coworkers. Yuzo is undaunted, but he is bullied by his new workmates and dumped by his girlfriend. Suddenly, an alien encounter changes everything as it feeds off the co-workers and melds with their madness creating an explosion of energy that plunges the town into chaos. Only Yuzo can save them from this crisis.

YUZO THE BIGGEST BATTLE IN TOKYO won the Jury Award For Best Feature Film at the Kansas City Underground Film Festival and the Best Fantasy Feature at San Francisco's Another Hole In The Head genre film festival. It was also an Official Selection of Buenos Aires Rojo Sangri genre film festival, the Pambujan International Film Festival, and G-Fest.
