A SciFi JAPAN EXCLUSIVE
With Yokohama as the setting for the latest Ultraman feature film, the Yokohama Doll Museum is currently running a special - albeit very small - exhibition entitled "Great Decisive Battle! The Super 8 Ultra Brothers in the Yokohama Doll Museum". Most of the items on display come from the latest film GREAT DECISIVE BATTLE! THE SUPER 8 ULTRA BROTHERS (Daikessen! Chou Urutora Hachi Kyoudai) which opened in theatres nationwide in Japan on September 13th. When first entering the exhibit, visitors see the elegant white dress and red shoes worn by the mysterious "red shoed girl" in the new movie. The highlight of the exhibit is the Yokohama diorama featuring Ultraman Tiga, Dyna, Gaia and Mebius battling with the monsters King Gesura and King Silvergon, while standing in the center of the exhibit is the bronze-transformed Ultraman Mebius. Also on display is some of the original character design artwork, along with original team uniforms, transformation devices, and flying props used in the TV series of ULTRAMAN (Urutoraman, 1966), ULTRA SEVEN (Urutorasebun, 1967), THE RETURN OF ULTRAMAN (Kaettekita Urutoraman, 1971), ULTRAMAN ACE (Urutoraman Eesu, 1972), ULTRAMAN TIGA (Urutoraman Tiga, 1996), ULTRAMAN DYNA (Urutoraman Daina, 1997), ULTRAMAN GAIA (Urutoraman Gaia, 1998) and ULTRAMAN MEBIUS (Urutoraman Mebiusu, 2006). The event will be open every day from 6:00-18:30 until October 13th. Standard entry to the Yokohama Doll Museum is 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children. The museum is a 2 minute walk from exit 4 of the Motomachi Chinatown station on Yokohama`s Minato Mirai Line.
