    X-Plus Giant Monster Figure Lineup for April 2016

    A SCIFI JAPAN EXCLUSIVE

    The Japanese toy company X-Plus Co., Ltd. has provided SciFi Japan with information and photos of their giant monster figures scheduled for release in late April 2016. The lineup includes several reissues commemorating the 50th anniversaries of Ultraman, Daimajin and the second Gamera movie, GAMERA VS BARUGON. X-Plus` monster figures can be purchased directly from the company`s official Shounen Ric website. Shounen Ric offers Limited Editions of the figures with exclusive features or bonus pieces not available from other retailers. The standard versions of the figures are sold by stores and online retailers including SFJ`s sponsors Anime Jungle and Flossie`s Gifts & Collectibles.

    Daikaiju Series: Liveking -- Shounen Ric Exclusive /??????? ???????? ????????? Introduced in the two-part story from Episodes 2 and 3, the monster`s comical appearance belied its formidable nature. Liveking is sold exclusively online by Shounen Ric and will not be available from retail stores.

    Daikaiju Series: Ultraman C-type Fighting Pose Light Up Version -- Shounen Ric Exclusive /??????? ??????? C???? ?????????? ??Ver. ????????? Product Size: Height Approximately 23cm (9 Inches) Material: PVC (Vinyl) Specifications: Painted Package: Window Box Shipping: Late April 2016 - Early May 2016 Price: ¥12,960 (Approximately $116.18 US, Tax Included) In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Ultraman, X-Plus is re-releasing their Ultraman C-type Fighting Pose figure with a new Light Up gimmick. First sold in June 2009, the figure is based on the look of the character from the later episodes of the ULTRAMAN (?????? Urutoraman, 1966-1967) television series. The previous stand version release had Ultraman`s arms in his classic Specium Ray pose, while the Shounen Ric exclusive also included bonus arms with raised hands. The new edition only comes with the raised hands. Also included is a display stand that illuminates the figure’s eyes and color timer. A switch operation allows Ultraman`s color timer to change from blue to blinking red. This item is sold exclusively online by Shounen Ric and will not be available from retail stores.

Ware-ra no Urutoraman, 2016) by reissuing their figure of one of the film`s heroes -- Ultraman Tiga! Initially sold in April 2013, Tiga features his standard Multi-type design and comes with a display stand that illuminates the figure`s eyes and color timer. There is also a switch operation that changes the color timer from blue to blinking red. This item is sold exclusively online by Shounen Ric and will not be available from retail stores.

In conjunction with the collectibles company DeAgostini Japan, X-Plus is offering a limited reissue of their Daimajin figure. First released in August 2012, the sculpt depicts the angry god as seen in his first movie, DAIMAJIN (???, 1966). The figure comes with a feature to move Daimajin`s eyes, replicating the fierce stare of suit actor Riki Hashimoto. Also included are a sword, the stake driven into Daimajin`s forehead, and the chains he uses to tear down the samurai camp during the film`s climax. This Limited Edition item is available exclusively from Shounen Ric and DeAgostini.
