Earlier this month, SciFi Japan posted an early look at X-Plus’ giant monster figures for June 2017 that included photos of unpainted prototypes. X-Plus has now provided complete product specs and more than 40 HUGE high-res pics of all the painted figures so we’re back with an update. X-Plus` monster figures can be purchased directly from the company`s official Shounen Ric website. Shounen Ric offers Exclusives and Limited Editions with bonus features or extra pieces not available from other retailers. In the film, Hedorah evolved through several different stages, and this new sculpt depicts the monster`s final -- and largest -- form. At 28cm tall, the figure stands 5cm over X-Plus` Godzilla 1971 figure. The standard version of the figure comes with Hedorah`s arms in a lowered position. The monster`s infamous eyes (shaped like vaginas at the request of the movie`s director, Yoshimitsu Banno) are molded in clear plastic. The Shounen Ric website Limited Edition version comes with a wealth of bonus features, including bonus interchangeable raised arms and a damaged left eye. There is also a light-up feature that can be switched between two different patterns. The first makes both of Hedorah`s eyes blink, the ray-emitting part of the eyes light up, and also illuminates the top of the monster`s head. The second option lights up both eyes.
