Why am I here in the past? If he does not stop the "incident", a man involved in the phenomenon called "Revival" must repeat the same hour over and over. He reaches back to protect an important person in the world of 18 years ago. Actor Tatsuya Fujiwara -- internationally known for his performances in the BATTLE ROYALE (?????????, Batoru Rowaiaru, 2000) and DEATH NOTE (?????, Desu Noto, 2006) films -- stars in ERASED (????????, Bokudake ga Inai Machi), the live-action adaptation of the hit manga by Kei Sanbe. The movie was released by Warner Bros. Pictures Japan on March 19th and is now being offered to foreign distributors by Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures Inc. Co-starring with Fujiwara is Kasumi Arimura (SPEC series, WHEN MARNIE WAS THERE, I AM A HERO). The supporting cast includes Mitsuhiro Oikawa (SINKING OF JAPAN, PARTNERS: THE MOVIE III), Seiji Fukushi (L?DK – LIVING TOGETHER, THE NEXT GENERATION -PATLABOR-) and Yuriko Ishida (PRINCESS MONONOKE, MW, FROM UP ON POPPY HILL). Also known as The Town Where Only I am Missing, the manga has been nominated for the Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize and Manga Taisho Awards. A 12 episode anime series debuted in January 2016. STORY Satoru Fujinuma is a struggling manga artist and he works as a part-timer like many others. That is, as long as his special ability of "revival" does not manifest itself. Revival is an involuntary time travel ability that allows him to jump back to the moment right before a life-threatening event. This continues to happen until the cause of the threat is erased. Incidents around town begin reminding Satoru of a childhood trauma he’d sooner forget. Convinced that the perpetrator who murdered his mother Sachiko in 2016 is the same one who committed a number of serial murders in 1998, he travels back and forth between the two eras. As he does so, Satoru finally begins to question what caused his ability to surface and whether or not it’s powerful enough to change the past.
