This weekend on Sunday, June 8 sees the premiere of FUJIYAMA ICHIBAN: THE MOVIE at the Miyako Hybrid Hotel in Torrance, California. This special event will screen the first FUJIYAMA ICHIBAN movie which spotlights the origin of the title character and his battle against the Dark Matter Empire. The event to be held at the Miyako Hybrid Hotel will feature game and craft booths as well as merchandise for sale. The heroes of the film will appear in full costume for a meet and greet and photo opportunities. FUJIYAMA ICHIBAN: THE MOVIE will screen at 9:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, and 5:30pm. FUJIYAMA ICHIBAN is an authentic Japanese tokusatsu hero created by Michi Yamato, a martial arts instructor and veteran of Ono Kenyoukai Action Studio, the prestigious group responsible for the stuntwork on the original KAMEN RIDER series. Mr. Yamato explains that he created FUJIYAMA ICHIBAN to promote Japanese culture in America. The storyline of FUJIYAMA ICHIBAN follows Sun Taiyo, a Japanese-American student who can transform into the hero Fujiyama Ichiban, defender of the Earth and its environment.
