    GODZILLA - MILLENNIUM SERIES Australian DVD Box Set

    Region 4 Collection of 1999-2004 Godzilla Movies Coming in May Source: Madman Entertainment Special Thanks to Ben Pollock

    On May 8th, Eastern Eye -- the Asian theatrical and home video division of Australian distributor Madman Entertainment -- will release a DVD collection of the Millennium Series of Godzilla films. The set will be Region 4 and PAL format, and retail for $39.95 AUD. The Millennium era of Godzilla (1999-2004) saw Godzilla again being rebooted with a series of `alternate takes` on the monster, seeing him face both classic foes such as Mothra and King Ghidorah and new villains like Orga and Monster X. The series climaxed on Godzilla`s 50th anniversary with the Toho monster free-for-all GODZILLA: FINAL WARS. The GODZILLA - MILLENNIUM SERIES BOXSET collects six movies that had previously been released individually on DVD by Madman. With the exception of the new packaging, the new DVDs are identical in terms of content to the previous releases, including optional English dubs and special features such as original Japanese theatrical trailers, photo galleries, trivia, concept art, and poster galleries. This latest set goes along nicely with Madman`s 2009 Godzilla Showa and Heisei era boxsets. GODZILLA - MILLENNIUM SERIES BOXSET features the following films: GODZILLA 2000 (1999) - US Version As Godzilla returns, destroying the city of Nemuro, a 60 million year old UFO rises from the sea. Using Godzilla`s DNA to resurrect it fallen crew, the UFO creates the beast Orga. A battle between the giants threatens to destroy all mankind... will Godzilla defeat the Alien Orga? GODZILLA VS MEGAGUIRUS (???×????? G????, Gojira x Megagirasu Jii Shometsu Sakusen, 2000) When the threat of Godzilla returns to Japan, scientists develop the first manmade black hole in an attempt to trap the monster. During a test of the new weapon, a prehistoric insect called Meganula emerges from the black hole and spawns a host of giant dragonflies. Their queen is Megaguirus -- a 50 meter flying menace set to kill Godzilla. Will mankind survive this clash of the prehistoric titans?
