First ULTRAMAN CARD GAME Tournament to be Held in Ikebukuro in June

Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Masayuki Nagatake) will hold the first large-scale official tournament for the ULTRAMAN CARD GAME (ウルトラマンカードゲーム, Urutoraman Kādo Gēmu) at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, on Sunday, June 8, 2025. To commemorate the tournament, a campaign to support deck building will be distributed, with promotional cards featuring original designs by Marvel artists.

The ULTRAMAN CARD GAME is a new trading card game inspired by the world of Ultraman featuring playability appealing to both adults and kids, as well as collectability with specially designed cards by renowned creators from around the globe. The game also offers several rare cards to collect from artists and designers who have worked on the Ultraman shows and movies. The game was released simultaneously around the world on Friday, October 25, 2024 in 4 languages, a first in the history of trading card games.

The "Ultra League Championship in Japan" (ウルトラリーグチャンピオンシップ in Japan, Urutora Rīgu Chanpionshippu in Japan) is the
official tournament to determine the first Japanese champion of the ULTRAMAN CARD GAME. Up to 512 Ultra Leaguers (ULTRAMAN CARD GAME players) from all over the country will gather and compete in a heated battle for the honor of being the first champion. Details of prizes and side events will be announced at a later date.

The key to players aiming to become the Japanese champion is building a deck that combines 50 cards. Currently, there are two starter decks, two booster packs, and one extra deck, and players will build a deck of 50 cards based on their own strategy to win.

Tsuburaya Productions will be holding a deck building support campaign to commemorate the tournament. Fans who purchase ULTRAMAN CARD GAME products during the campaign period will receive a campaign bonus PR card featuring a design drawn by a Marvel artist. Contestants can build a powerful deck during the campaign.

The tournament app "Ultra League" (ウルトラリーグ, Urutora Rīgu allows participants to manage all aspects of tournament participation, including event applications, actual day reception, and registration of match results.

The tournament app is scheduled to be updated periodically, and new features such as the ability to view decks registered by ULTRAMAN CARD GAME players from around the world and functions such as displaying the total number of matches played against rivals will be introduced in the future.

■ Tournament Commemoration Campaign

To commemorate the first "Ultra League Championship in Japan", Tsuburaya Productions will be holding a campaign to support deck construction for the tournament. The first round will start on Friday, March 28th, and the second round will start on Friday, April 25th. For every 1,500円 (Approximately $10.03 USD, Tax Included) spent on new ULTRAMAN CARD GAME-related products, one random campaign bonus PR card will be given away.

The 10 different campaign bonus PR cards to be distributed are character cards using original illustrations by Marvel artists that have only been released in English products so far. Five of them will be distributed in the first round, including the "Space Dinosaur Zetton" and "Ancient Monster Gomora" cards which will be available ahead of their inclusion in Booster Pack 03: "Shadow of Undying Vengeance," scheduled to go on sale in April. The second round will feature powerful cards such as "Ultraman Dyna Revolium Wave" and "Ultraman Belial Giga Battlenizer".
