Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah Announced for GODZILLA Sequels

Source: Legendary Pictures Official Site: Godzillamovie.com Legendary Pictures thrilled Godzilla fans at San Diego Comic-Con today with the announcement that Toho favorites Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah would be returning to the big screen in sequels to the new GODZILLA from Legendary and Warner Bros. Pictures. Legendary CEO Thomas Tull was on hand to break the news and screen new “classified Monarch footage” teasing the monsters. The company also officially confirmed that GODZILLA director Gareth Edwards would be helming GODZILLA 2. Edwards was in San Francisco doing prep work for his upcoming STAR WARS spin-off but offered his thanks to fans via a pre-recorded message. Toho refers to Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah -- along with Godzilla and Mechagodzilla -- as part of their “Big Five”; monsters who have appeared in all three series of Godzilla films and have name recognition worldwide.
