Running now through February 16, 2014, the event is being held at the Broadcast Library, an archive facility located within the Yokohama Media and Communications Center. Admission is free. Founded by FX legend Eiji Tsuburaya in 1963, Tsuburaya Productions created numerous special effects programs, films and videos, most notably the internationally famous Ultraman franchise. The exhibition looks back at the company`s history with a display of props (including the Ultramen`s transformation devices and other mechanical equipment), statues of the heroes and monsters, publicity and production photographs, screenplays, artwork, costumes, monster models and videos. ?     Special Thanks to Daisuke Ishizuka and Koichi Ichinohe Last month, SciFi Japan ran photos from the tanbo art display in the town of Inakadate-mura, Aomori Prefecture. The town annually hosts large-scale artwork created in rice fields using different-colored rice, and this year`s event includes a tribute to the first ULTRAMAN television series. On August 16th, Mr. Koji Moritsugu, who played Dan Moroboshi, and Ms. Yuriko Hishimi, who played Anne Yuri in ULTRA SEVEN (???????, Urutorasebun, 1967-1968), were the special guests for a Premium Gallery Talk. Last year they were invited on different days, but this year Dan and Anne spoke together at the Festival. Reservations for the event filled up in a day so I was lucky to make a reservation. The format of the event was the same as the Premium Gallery Talk with ULTRAMAN stars Mr. Susumu Kurobe and Ms. Hiroko Sakurai, which was held on August 2nd. We watched one ULTRA SEVEN episode that was chosen by Mr. Moritsugu and Ms. Hishimi. Their choice was Episode 22: THE HUMAN RANCH (????, Ningen Bokujyou). After watching the episode

    v Author: Daisuke Ishizuka After opening at Fukuoka, Kyushu in March, the ULTRA SEVEN EXHIBITION finally came to the Mitsukoshi department store in Nihonbashi, Tokyo from July 24-August 5, 2013. I think the promoter of the 45TH ANNIVERSARY ULTRA SEVEN EXHIBITION was strongly influenced by the number "7". The exhibition started July (the 7th month), the exhibition was held on the 7th floor of the department store and the admission fee was ¥700. In the past, there have been exhibitions devoted to the Ultra series (or particular eras of the franchise), but this is first to focus on only one TV series or character. There were only a few original props remaining from the original ULTRA SEVEN (???????, Urutorasebun, 1967-1968) show, and most of them are now terribly damaged. Therefore, mainly replicas of props were displayed at this event. Most interesting for me was
