Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. has announced that a live event devoted to the Netflix anime series ULTRAMAN (??????, Urutoraman, 2019-20) will be held at the Tokyo Dome Hotel on Saturday, December 14, 2019 as part of TSUBURAYA CONVENTION 2019, the largest festival in the company`s history. The two-day TSUBURAYA CONVENTION will host a number of programs including ceremonies, stage shows, concerts and dinner parties with special guests from the Ultraman franchise. The ULTRAMAN anime is based on the manga of the same name by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi, and focuses on Shinjiro Hayata, the teenage son of Shin Hayata, the former human host of the original Ultraman. Having inherited some of Ultraman`s power, Shinjiro dons a metallic suit to become the next generation Ultraman. The series streamed exclusively on Netflix in over 200 countries this past April. Production of a second season is now underway. The "ULTRAMAN Anime Special Stage" show at TSUBURAYA CONVENTION 2019 will feature appearances by voice actors Ryohei Kimura (Shinjiro Hayata/ Ultraman), Sumire Morohoshi (heroine Rena Sayama) and Kenjiro Tsuda (alien villain Adad). The cast will discuss their work on Season 1 and also announce new developments in the world of ULTRAMAN. The stage show will also feature a special premiere. A live action Ultraman suit was unveiled during a presentation at Winter Wonder Festival this past February, and then worn by Ryohei Kimura during the anime`s world premiere screening in March. A similar suit has now been created for Ultraman`s ally, Seven -- a hero inspired by the classic Ultraseven -- which will make its public debut alongside Ultraman at the "ULTRAMAN Anime Special Stage".
