Last summer the Japanese collectibles company X-Plus Co., Ltd. and the publishing giant Kadokawa Corporation announced they were be partnering on a product tie-in for Toho`s SHIN GODZILLA (??????, Shin Gojira, 2016) in which Kadokawa would release a pair of mooks (a cross between a magazine and a book) that would be packaged with either a clear red or a glow-in-the-dark green figure kit of the new Godzilla. Scheduled for release in August 2016, the publication/figure sets were never produced. But, inspired by the demands of Godzilla fans, on December 22nd Kadokawa began taking pre-orders on a new collaboration with X-Plus; a Shin Godzilla limited edition color kit that would be sold on its own. Using the same sculpt as the standard Toho Daikaiju Series: Shin Godzilla figure recently released by X-Plus, the kit is molded with red clear soft vinyl to replicate the nuclear energy that glows from Godzilla`s body in the film. Unlike the traditional X-Plus Godzilla figures, this item is a kit that must be fully assembled. Model adhesive (not included) is required, and the individual pieces may need to be trimmed with a knife or heated with a hair dryer to fit snugly. Please read the instruction manual carefully before assembly. This item is sold exclusively by the Kadokawa website and will not be available from retail stores.
