The screening of HELCK will be presented in English subtitles and take place on Saturday, July 1 in the Platinum Ballroom at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles, Calif. Earlier this year, HIDIVE announced its acquisition of HELCK, which is based on the popular shōnen manga written and illustrated by Nanaki Nanao. The new series will debut after Anime Expo as part of HIDIVE’s Summer 2023 Simulcast Season. The movie is directed by Kazuo Sakai, with character designs by Nari Teshima, CG direction by Mari Kondo and Jae Hoon Jung, music by Kenji Tamai (agehasprings), and production by Toei Animation. The titular Ragna is a dragon hunter, armed with a silver blade and tasked with felling draconic prey. The anime announcement generated buzz both in Japan and overseas. The anime will begin its broadcast on September 30th on TOKYO MX, MBS, and BS11.
