The Hibiya Chanter (Address: 1 Chome-2-2 Yurakucho, Chiyoda City, Tokyo 100-0006) is a four-level shopping, dining and entertainment complex that includes the Toho Cinemas Chanter and the famed Hibiya Godzilla Square with its Godzilla statue. From Saturday, October 7 - Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the Chanter is running a promotional campaign to commemorate the release of the new movie GODZILLA MINUS ONE (ゴジラ-1.0/ゴジラマイナスワン, Gojira Mainasu Wan).
A statue of "Godzilla-1.0" is now on display next to the service counter on the 1st floor, while full scale Godzilla handprints, footprints, and claw marks can be seen in the Star Gallery, site of celebrity handprints, which is located at the underground B2F entrance of the Hibiya Chanter. Visitors can follow Godzilla's path through the building as they shop.
During the campaign period, the first 30,000 customers who spend 2,000円 (Approx. $13.40 US, tax included) or more in Hibiya Chanter will receive an original GODZILLA MINUS ONE sticker (2 different designs available).
There is also a contest centered on an exhibition of posters for all 30 live-action Godzilla movies produced by Toho. Visitors can take a photo of their favorite Godzilla movie poster and post it on Hibiya Chanter's official X (formerly Twitter) with the tag #シャンテにゴジラ上陸キャンペーン (#Godzilla Landing Campaign in Chanter) by 8:00 p.m. JST on Wednesday, November 15 to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a regular GODZILLA MINUS ONE movie poster (2 prizes available) or a GODZILLA MINUS ONE movie poster signed by the film's writer/director/FX director Takashi Yamazaki (1 prize available).
The Godzilla Store Hibiya Showroom, the latest Godzilla pop-up store, is now open on the 3rd floor of Hibiya Chanter. Guests can purchase limited-edition figures and other Godzilla products at the store through Tuesday, October 31.
