Junji Ito is a manga writer/artist, responsible for many nightmares in Japan via his horror comics such as Tomie, Uzumaki, Gyo and others. Born in 1963, he grew up writing and drawing manga while working as a dental assistant in the early 1990s. After submitting a short story to Gekkan Halloween that won an honorable mention in the Kazuo Umezu Prize (with Umezu himself as one of the judges), he would eventually leave the dental practice for a full time career in manga, becoming a prolific artist, turning out

STONE, a documentary featuring creative producer Shusuke Katagiri and director Shinya Iino. The documentary premiered on Crunchyroll’s YouTube page on September 13, and will premiere on platform this week. Running a little over 25 minutes, it was shot onsite in Japan, following the pair and their team through the creative process to adapt the hit manga into the anime series. The movies that have been dubbed and subtitled so far are ULTRAMAN GINGA S THE MOVIE, ULTRA FIGHT VICTORY and ULTRAMAN X THE MOVIE. No official release of the films has been announced, though the subtitled print of ULTRAMAN X THE MOVIE was screened recently at FantAsia in Canada. William Winckler Productions had previously dubbed a package of animated series, edited together into movies, for Toei Productions. Some of those were released through Shout Factory over the last couple of years.     Japanese lawmakers are seriously considering the legalization of Japan’s first ever casino.
