Source: Bandai In February, Bandai is launching a new soft vinyl figure line, "JAPAN GODZILLA," which will feature designs and coloring with a uniquely Japanese "wa" motif. Wa (和) is a concept that roughly translates to "peace" or "harmony" and is considered essential to Japanese culture. Intended to be both inexpensive collectibles and Japanese souvenirs, the JAPAN GODZILLA figures will be produced at a slightly smaller scale (average height 4.5 inches) than those from Bandai's main Movie Monster Series (average height 6.3 inches). In celebration of both Godzilla's 70th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the High Grade capsule toy line, Bandai is releasing a set of HG figures that includes the adult Mothra and adult Battra from the Heisei hit GODZILLA VS. MOTHRA (ゴジラVSモスラ, Gojira vs. Mosura, 1992) -- the film released in the United States as GODZILLA AND MOTHRA: THE BATTLE FOR EARTH. JERA recently revealed that it has started supplying electricity generated by hydrogen to Toho Studios through its subsidiary, JERA Cross. This is the first commercial use of electricity generated by a hydrogen-only, zero-emission thermal power plant in Japan.
