    The Japanese confectionery company Ishimuramanseido has announced a new promotional tie-in with the movie GODZILLA MINUS ONE (ゴジラ-1.0/ゴジラマイナスワン, Gojira Mainasu Wan). Starting Monday, October 16, 2023, the company's famous "Tsurunoko" (鶴乃子) sweets will be available in limited edition "Godzilla Noko" (「ゴジラ」乃子,  Gojira Noko)  packaging depicting the latest incarnation of the King of the Monsters.

    Introduced in Fukuoka in 1911, Tsurunoko is an egg-shaped marshmallow pastry with a filling of sweet yellow bean paste. Ishimuramanseido compares the treat's decades of popularity to that of Godzilla,  who first appeared in 1954 and has become an international icon.  The company stated that they hope a collaboration between such long-loved brands "will provide an opportunity to rediscover the appeal of Japan and local culture, and help revitalize the region."

    Commemorating Godzilla's 70th anniversary and the 30th live-action Godzilla film produced in Japan, the "Godzilla Noko" comes in a 5-pack with a collectible special sticker. Quantities are limited, so Ishimuramanseido recommends that Godzilla fans make their purchase as soon as possible.

    Ishimuramanseido is also hosting a contest to win an "Godzilla-class" Tsurunoko that is 70 times larger* than normal. Feel the power of Godzilla with this giant-sized prize!
